This privacy notice sets out how City Church uses and protects any information that you give us.
City Church collects relevant information when you register with us (e.g. to go on our email newsletter or membership log) or sign up for an event or submit a form on our website (e.g. prayer request or testimony). We will use this information to provide the requested services, maintain records and, if you agree, to send you relevant information. City Church will not share your information for marketing purposes with other companies or organisations; it will not be disclosed to unauthorised third parties without a clear reason and in accordance with legal requirements.
City Church is committed to ensuring that your privacy and data is protected. We commit to making sure that any personal data we collect or store is handled securely, sensitively, and in a manner which reflects the lawful basis for storing the personal data. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure of your information, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial processes to safeguard any information we have about you. We don’t keep your personal data for any longer than we need it or use it beyond the purposes of the legitimate activity for which it is held.
People who are authorised to have secure access to the database include City Church personnel. Ministry leaders, small group leaders and authorised volunteers will have limited access to contact details of those within their groups/spheres of responsibility.
City Church will use your data for the following:
1. church administration e.g. pastoral care including calls and visits, maintaining financial records of giving for audit and tax purposes, team rotas, etc.
2. keeping you informed about church news and services.
3. citychurchcardiff.com will only ever use cookies - a small piece of data that a website stores on your device when you visit - to enhance your online experience and enable certain functions. We do not use cookies to collect personally identifying information.
If you have previously agreed to us using your personal information you may change your mind at any time by writing to or emailing the Data Protection Officer at office@citychurchcardiff.com. Similarly, please do contact the Church Office should you have any concerns or questions about your data or require information to be updated or corrected. On marketing messages you can opt out at any time by pressing the unsubscribe link in the last message you received.
