Thank you for signing up to pray today. In this time do pray as the Lord leads you but, to help us pray as one body across this day, please use the points below as a guide. If you’d like guidance about fasting, see here.
Ask God for His manifest presence to rest upon City Church (Exodus 33:15).
Ask God to pour out His Holy Spirit upon us in increasing measure (Joel 2:28).
Pray Psalm 91 over City Church.
Whenever God is genuinely doing something, the enemy will seek to frustrate and hinder it. Let's pray for divine protection over our church as we navigate this next season. Pray that all the schemes of the enemy will be exposed and thwarted, and for increased spiritual discernment to recognise the tactics of the enemy that seek to derail us from God's purposes for the church (Ephesians 6:11-12).
Take some time today to pray for those on your 3:16 list to come to know Jesus.
Pray Matthew 5:13-16 over City Church. Pray for City Church to be full of people who are light of the world and salt of the earth. Salt flavours, preserves and can be used in healing - pray for yourself that you may be salt of the earth. Light dispels darkness and guides - pray for yourself that the light of Christ in you would bring illumination of the Gospel to those you encounter. May your life life point the way to Jesus. Pray the Spirit to help you become more like him.
Let's reflect on where we have the most influence – family, work, community, school, university, etc. Pray for one another in the City Church family to be strong Christian influences in those areas.
